Methodology
How WorksWithMyEHR collects, verifies, and dates its data, and how we handle money.
What we track
63 tools across six categories, mapped to ten EHRs common in independent practices: athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Tebra (Kareo), ModMed, Elation, DrChrono, AdvancedMD, NextGen, Epic, SimplePractice.
Integration types
- Native
- Built, owned, or sold by the EHR vendor itself (for example, an EHR's own ambient scribe).
- Marketplace
- Listed in the EHR's official marketplace or partner directory: athenahealth Marketplace (athenaConnect Hub), Epic Showroom, ModMed synapSYS, NextGen Marketplace, AdvancedMD Marketplace, Elation Partner Hub, or DrChrono App Directory. A listing means the EHR has a partner relationship; it does not mean the EHR endorses the product.
- Vendor-documented
- The tool vendor publicly documents the integration (integration page, help article, or press release). This may be an API, an interface/connector, or a browser extension; notes say which when it's known.
- None known
- We could not find a public, verifiable source. That is not proof that no integration exists.
Verification rules
- Every non-unknown integration has a source URL that you can click.
- We never infer an integration, price, or BAA status. Third-party review sites are not accepted as sources.
- Pricing appears only when the vendor publishes it. Promotional prices are flagged.
- BAA status is "yes" only when the vendor's own legal, help, or pricing pages say it signs or includes a BAA. For EHR-native features we mark "unknown" and suggest confirming coverage under your existing EHR BAA.
- Patient-experience fields (AI disclosure, human escalation, opt-out) are "documented" only when the vendor publishes it.
"Last checked" dates
Each record carries a last-checked date. This dataset was last fully checked on October 20, 2026. Marketplaces change often, so confirm with the vendor before you sign.
Current coverage
Of 630 tool×EHR combinations, 204 have a verified integration and 426 are unknown. Pricing is public for 18 of 63 tools; BAA status is confirmed for 25.
Affiliate disclosure
Some vendors run affiliate or referral programs. Tools with one are marked Affiliate, and their outbound links carry rel="sponsored". If we're approved for a program, we may earn a commission when you buy through our link. Commissions never affect whether a tool is listed, its order (lists are sorted by integration type and then alphabetically), or any data field. Vendors can't pay to change their data.
